They all the time worried about their child's safety, protection & potential danger. Over protective parenting would likely to impact badly on child's mental health. It may devop low self- esteem , low decision making capacity, low confidence in the children. When teenagers parents are over protective then there will be 100% chances of disputes.              There was a counselling case of overprotective child. She was in 12th standard. Her parents were so much over protecting her that it resulted in high level of anxiety, lack of decision making, dependence, lack of confidence. She was not at all able to talk properly. In such cases parents counselling is highly recommended. WHY PARENTS ARE SO OVERPROTECTIVE :-  Sometimes parent's abundant love for the children force them to become overprotective.
